Interview Preparedness

Potential employers will ask about a recent deal, and you need to be ready.

Today we want to talk to everyone in the technology sales industry about an important component of the interview process so that it doesn’t take you by surprise. Specifically, we will discuss the deal dive.

The potential employer will ask you to walk them through a deal that you did step by step. They will be looking for details like your mindset, philosophy about selling, what your process looks like, how you overcame adversity, and your creativity. You need to have one of those deal dive examples at the ready and have a decent handle on it.

Pick a deal you worked on within the last year or two that had a successful outcome. Additionally, be ready to answer questions about your quota, quota attainment for the last few years, and how you’ve done compared to your peers.

Hopefully, that helps you be a bit more prepared when this comes up in an interview. If you have any questions, reach out to us by phone or email. Happy hunting.
