Mastering Resume Presentation: How to Showcase Multiple Positions at One Company

An important tip for showcasing your career progression with a company.

Today, we’re talking about one specific element of your resume: how you frame things when you have worked multiple positions at one company. In today’s environment, with fewer jobs and more people jockeying for positions, it’s important to have the best visual representation possible with resumes and LinkedIn profiles.

One thing you want to avoid is looking like a job hopper, which means someone who changes jobs frequently. One way to easily fix that is to make it clear that your time was all with the same company by bolding the company name and the total time at the company.

For example, if you were there from 2012 to 2018, you would bold that along with the company name. Then it’s clear you didn’t leave the company for another job; you were just promoted internally or took another position with them.

This is an easy fix for something that can be confusing on a resume. If you have any questions or need more advice, don’t hesitate to call or email us anytime. We are here to help you!
