Importance of Acting Fast if You See a Job You Want

If you hear about a position you are interested in, don’t wait…apply right away.

Are you an opportunity seeker who is always on the lookout for job postings or open positions? If so, it’s important to understand the significance of timing when applying for these opportunities.

Compared to six months ago, job positions are being filled much faster than before. As a result, it’s crucial to decide as soon as possible whether or not you want to pursue an opportunity. If it doesn’t seem like the right fit, there’s no need to pursue it. However, if you’re interested, taking action as soon as possible is essential.

“The sooner you express your interest, the better.”

It has happened multiple times in the last month or two where someone was interested in a job and was going to get back to us, but then the position was filled. To increase your chances of being considered for a job, it’s crucial to submit yourself or have someone submit you before the position is filled. For example, if you can schedule a phone call before the position is filled, you have a better chance of being considered. However, if you still need to be submitted or have a conversation, there’s a much greater chance that the employer will select someone else who has already been in the process for a while.

In the past, job positions stayed open for longer, many ranging from a year and a half to two years. However, that is changing. Don’t let your dream job slip away due to poor timing—act fast and make a move to secure your next job opportunity. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me by phone call or email. I hope to hear from you soon.
