Here’s the truth behind this holiday hiring myth that’s going around.

 

There’s a pretty big misconception out there that hiring shuts down during the holiday season of November and December. That’s not true, especially in the sales field. 

 

The biggest challenge during this time of year for recruiters is scheduling issues. However, since everyone believes the hiring market shuts down, job seekers tend to shut down their efforts, too. It kind of becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

 

In the sales world, places are hiring all year round. If you’re actively engaged in a job search, you’ll have less competition during this time of year because of that self-fulfilling prophecy I mentioned earlier. This could give you a significant advantage over the competition.
